I have known Greg for close to 20 years. He was my manager whilst we worked at an investment bank and we’ve kept in contact over the years. When Greg introduced me to the idea of using a financial planner I was sceptical at first. Greg, however, was extremely thorough with the value add he could provide towards my finances. After a few meetings we went through the numbers of a plan he had in mind and I was then convinced. Greg has since consolidated my super, while changing the fund, which has already experienced value over my previous fund. He organized insurances for my family (I was previously not insured) in the most tax effective way. He refinanced our mortgage at a reduced rate and we have since refinanced again and moved into a new home. Greg handles all of paperwork and negotiations between the organizations that I have agreements with. I enjoy having a professional like Greg advise and execute financial matters for me as it frees up my time for other matters.
I have found Greg to be very transparent during the entire process; detailing his entire fee structure, which I acknowledge and sign off on. He’s constantly in touch to present new possibilities for financial growth and provides advice on other matters as well.
After sitting down and going through exactly what my financial goals were, Greg made fantastic suggestions for my Superannuation & savings goals. I am now on track to pay off my personal debt over 3 & a half years ahead of time! Before Greg took over my financial planning I had been looked after by a family friend. During the 6 years they had been managing my Super and personal insurances, I had received correspondence only once a year from his office – not him personally! This was in the form of large, thick statements that were confusing to me & basically a waste of paper.
After Greg sorted out the rollover of my Super balances and got me into the right insurances, we realised that the cover my previous financial advisor had signed me up for had premiums twice as much as that of policy which Greg recommended and the amount of cover was also much less. It became pretty clear then that my previous financial advisor had really dropped the ball.
I moved towns 7 months ago and STILL receive fantastic correspondence from Greg. He is quick to respond to my emails and keeps me focused on my goals for saving and clearing my debts. I rest easy knowing that he has made sure my Superannuation has been invested correctly to benefit me the most, and that the personal insurances he has put in place will make sure that I am covered whatever may happen in the future. I have no doubt that Greg can and will continue to look after me and my finances.
After taking on his services, I felt immediate relief. The stress about my future and my financial situation melted away. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends, family and business contacts!
I was referred to Greg Koch as a trustworthy and professional wealth creation advisor by a friend.
From the first point of contact Greg thoroughly explained the process of transfer from my previous superannuation fund and outlined in detail the structure of fees that I would be paying with his associated super fund. Greg is extremely interested in my personal financial situation and constantly is advising me on changes of my financial situation. He is keenly interested in my retirement plan and I am extremely relaxed that the advice that he gives is correct for my situation.
Over that time it became obvious to me that Greg was a person with very high principles, dedicated to his commitment to become a highly skilled and professional financial planner. His honesty and integrity – free of pretences and hype, was a refreshing change from many of the associates in that industry.
When family circumstances caused me to leave the Academy, I chose to stay in touch with Greg and when my wife and I decided to commence a self-managed super fund, it was an obvious choice for us to seek Greg’s expertise and guidance. He has provided us with extremely helpful and wise advise over the last 3 or 4 years and I sincerely hope this will continue for many years to come.
We have stayed in touch both through our regular quarterly SMSF meetings and through regular Emails and phone contact.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Greg to anyone who was seeking the advice of a financial planner who is both highly skilled and scrupulously honest.
I have a wife and child (turning 3 years old in April 2016). Due to this illness, I worry very much about their welfare and future, as I am concerned that I may not be able to work to full capacity during and after my treatment (my treatment makes it difficult to go to work as side effects include very low immune system, danger of infection, and numerous others), and I will also need to bear any other financial burdens which arise. I particularly worry about my child’s educational costs (she will start kindergarten soon, then she has her whole educational future ahead of her). I also have to think about our fixed expenses as a family and the such. In addition, I have always been the sole and primary income earner for our family.
Fortunately, many years ago, my financial planner made me aware of the potential difficulties which can accompany serious illness, and I decided to purchase this trauma policy as a result. With this disease, I am helpless, and suffer from a sense of severe loss and heartache when I think of my family and what may happen – the only thing I feel I have done right, is to have made the decision to purchase this insurance. This policy has brought us some peace of mind, at a time when it feels as though there can be none at all.
